ADFTH President Nouhad Dammous, and Hospitality Services Managing Director Mrs. Joumana Dammous Salame, presented this year’s Hospitality Services Annual Awards during a glittering dinner at Le Royal Hotel on Thursday March 31, 2011.

The 2011 Lifetime Achievement Awards went to H.E. Fady Abboud, the Lebanese Minister of Tourism, H.E. Zaid Goussous the Jordanian Minister of Tourism, Michel Boustros of Chateau Kefraya, Serge Hochar of Chateau Musar and Zafer Chaoui of Chateau Ksara.

All of these notable recipients have demonstrated throughout their long and distinguished careers a lifelong commitment to excellence in the hospitality and food services industry. All of them have worked tirelessly to promote iconic products and services that signify quality, and each has acted as a goodwill ambassador for their nation.

The annual “Nouhad Dammous Student Excellency Award” prize went to best hospitality student, elected amongst fifteen universities and ten institutions. This prize went to Anthony El Khoury from Sagesse University.

This elegant dinner featured a stunning Coffee Catwalk Fashion Show. Dresses where designed by Esmod students, and executed with coffee beans and coffee pods from Lebanese producers and distributors. The panel was headed by André Békhazi, Doyen de l’Académie Libanaise des Beaux Arts

The awards ceremony has already been marked in the calendar as one of the premier events at HORECA 2011, and the distinguished guests who attended this year’s dinner enjoyed the “cocktail dinatoire”, featuring the finest culinary delicacies especially selected from Le Royal’s four dining venues.
